BLUF: Take great thoughts, toss them into a vat, stir, and dip out a dozen buckets of awareness.
Rhonda Byrne's 2020 book The Greatest Secret offers "... a life of permanent happiness and bliss." It's a rather disorganized collection of quotations by spiritual writers and teachers, accompanied by enthusiastic exhortations within a bit of first-person framing. Thank goodness for the summary sections at the end of each chapter! In brief:
- "Hidden in Plain Sight" — we're all looking for happiness and meaning
- "The Greatest Secret: Revealed" — it's all about Awareness
- "The Reveal Continued" — notice Awareness and stay with it
- "You're Dreaming ... It's Time to Wake Up" — life is but a dream
- "Freedom from the Mind" — don't believe your thoughts, observe them
- "Understanding the Power of Feelings" — question negative feelings
- "The End of Negative Feelings" — welcome your feelings and live in Awareness
- "No More Suffering" — be Aware
- "Dissolving Limiting Beliefs" — question everything
- "Everlasting Happiness" — let go of your attachments and stay in Awareness
- "The World: All is Well" — everything is an illusion; say "Yes" to it
- "The End–There Is No End" — death is an illusion; Awareness is eternal
All well, all good – but so long and chaotic!
